Aperam worldwide

Created in 2011, as the result of ArcelorMittal’s spin-off of the stainless-steel business, Aperam Group, with headquarters in Luxemburg, emerged as a global player in stainless steels, specialty electrical steels and nickel alloys.

Having an annual capacity to produce 2.5 million tons of flat stainless steels and more than 11 thousand employees, the Group maintains, in more than 30 countries, sales offices, service, research and distribution centres, in addition to six plants located in Brazil, Belgium and France.

The name Aperam encompasses our history and legacy while pointing to the future. It comes from the English word “aperture”, which means “opening”, followed by the letters “AM”, initials of ArcelorMittal, which refer to our origins.

Aperam is a company that has been incorporated to compete in a global and challenging environment. Its slogan, MADE FOR LIFE, is inspired by the properties of stainless steel, the Company’s flagship product.
